Going to Staples

Me and Christie were curious to see what the big hoopla was about over at Staples Center for the anticipated Michael Jackson memorial service. Here are some pictures from the event:

Here is a piece of art painted by a fan in front of us in line. It took her more than 20 hours to complete. Very impressive

Large screens throughout the LA Live area flashed images of Michael throughout the evening

In the end, Michael led a very filled life, but at the same time a very sad one. His musical genius can not be denied, but his personal life is still to be questioned. Still I think that we all can remember the time when he was still considered "cool" and not the freak or punchline he was later in life. It really must be hard to be a King.
